
Mazda Trim Selection
Overview
Mazda wanted to create a Content Hub that would live on publisher websites such as MotorTrend, Car and Driver, Consumer Guide Automotive, and many more. They wanted to create an interactive and engaging experience for their users. For this Content Hub to work it would be a combination of showcasing the following content:
Video
Banners
Trim styles
Carousel gallery
Call-to-action buttons
Find a dealership widget
My Approach
The idea behind this project was to constantly give the viewer something visual and interesting to interact with. This was achieved with the variety of formats of showcasing information (ex: video, trims styles, carousel gallery, etc.).
Obstacles
Publisher websites have a limit of 800px for any content in their articles. All of the collateral had to fit within these narrow margins. When presenting viewers with such an immense amount of information about a product, it becomes rather difficult to hold their attention. Aside from being narrow, the publisher websites are full of information competing for the user’s focus. The image below demonstrates this challenge.
